The COVID-19 pandemic has presented a major challenge for all of us across the world and we are united in limiting the impact of the virus on our health, productivity and goals. As scientists, we believe that we should be promoting safe and responsible behaviors regarding this health crisis. The Society for In Vitro Biology is currently planning to hold its 2021 In Vitro Biology Meeting in Norfolk, Virginia from June 5th through June 9th, 2021; however, we will continue to closely follow and evaluate the recommendations and guidelines of the CDC. We are mindful that travel bans may remain in place in many countries and institutions for some time. We also recognize that the financial impact of the pandemic may limit the ability for researchers to attend the meeting. We want all attendees and vendors to know that our top priority will always be the health, safety, and wellbeing of our attendees and the scientific community-at-large. Should the plan to hold an in-person event in June need to be reevaluated, know that we will investigate every option available to provide you with the best possible experience.

Registration forms will not be processed if not accompanied by one of the following methods of payment:
- Company or personal check (checks to be drawn on United States currency only; list all registrants on check memo or check stub)
- Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express
- Wire Transfer (checks to be paid in United States currency only; make sure to cover any fees your banking institution will charge for processing the transfer or you will be billed for the balance due for your registration.
SIVB will accept faxed and/or mailed Annual Meeting registrations.
Cancellations and Refunds
Our refund policy is as follows*: All requests for cancellations and/or refunds must be made in writing. Refunds are subject to an administrative processing fee of $50.00. The amount refunded is determined by the date the request is received. A full refund less the administrative fee will be granted if the request is received by March 31, 2021, one-half from April 1 to April 30, 2021; no refund after May 1, 2021.
*Special Refund Policy regarding COVID-19: Cancellation requests made in the event that SIVB has to change our event format or you are unable to attend due to travel restrictions will have their administrative fee waived and will be provided with a full refund.
