The SIVB is heading to Norfolk, Virginia for the first time ever and you can be part of it! Right in the heart of downtown, the Hilton Norfolk The Main is the official hotel for the 2023 SIVB Annual Meeting and offers terrific opportunities for dining, sightseeing, and more in this “Mermaid City.”
Exciting scientific events
The Program Committee is preparing a schedule of symposia, workshops, contributed paper, interactive poster, and poster sessions that will highlight the most recent advances in the plant and animal biotechnology and genomics. Sessions begin on Saturday, June 10 and run through Wednesday, June 14, in addition plans are underway for Wednesday scientific tours.

Abstract submission will be available for you to submit your work for consideration in one of the numerous contributed paper, interactive poster, and poster sessions, including virtual poster opportunities.
The scientific program will provide both state-of-the-art scientific research and core fundamentals presented by speakers you won’t want to miss. This year’s plenary topics include: Microbiomes, Product Development, Spatial Biology, Biotechnology for Sustainability, and Diversity in Science.
SIVB meetings are large enough for terrific learning, but small enough to let you meet one-on-one with some of the biggest names in our field! Meet with colleagues to discuss possible collaborations and make new connections.
