On behalf of the SIVB Awards Committee, we are reaching out to all members to help the Society identify and nominate your colleagues to celebrate their scientific achievements. Each year, SIVB offers awards to members at all stages of their career.

SIVB is recognized as a Society that consistently achieves at a level that is ‘higher than expected.’  We share a passion for the discipline and a collegial environment that fosters both enjoyment and accomplishment. It is appropriate that we also recognize our colleagues who have demonstrated extraordinary accomplishments in their research and in their contributions to the Society. Although we tend towards modesty when referring to our own work we need not be constrained when we are called to recognize the work of our colleagues. This is YOUR opportunity to note the accomplishments of a colleague that will be worth more to them than one can imagine. Keep on reading to find just the award that fits a colleague that you know better than anyone else!

Below is a list of the awards available for 2024. Please take a moment to review the criteria and nomination processes for each award including completing the fillable nominations form. You also can read the details on how to nominate someone for an award by clicking on the award’s name below. If you want to nominate someone but aren’t sure whether they have received an award before, past recipients for each award can be found at https://sivb.org/awards.html

Nominations are due by January 15, 2024, but can be submitted earlier, so start the process today and let us know you will be nominating an eligible candidate so we can keep an eye out for your emailed nomination packet!
