What is being presented at the meeting?

The final program and list of posters is available here.

How are the sessions being offered?

This year, sessions are being presented via Live Stream, as Prerecorded sessions with Real Time Response, by Zoom webinar, and through live Video Chats.

  • Live Stream: The 2 Saturday programs, daily Plenary Symposia, and the Sunday Keynote Symposium will all be presented via live stream. These sessions will be take place with speakers answering questions both offscreen during their presentation and on-screen live. All prerecorded presentations will be immediately available for viewing and the complete recordings of these sessions will be available on-demand midday the day after the session occurs.
  • Real Time Response:  These sessions will be presented as individual prerecorded playback presentations with the speakers available live on the date and time specified in the program to respond to your questions off screen through the available Q&A. The presentation, Q&A, and discussion that take place during their scheduled presentation time will be available for viewing as on-demand content.
  • Zoom Webinar: This session will be held live through a Zoom Webinar outside of the event website. Panelists will be able to answer questions live on screen in real time. The entire session will be available for playback through the event website the day after the session occurs.
  • Video Chat: These live sessions will take place through Video Chat features on the event website. There will be no recordings of these sessions.
When can I watch the presentations?

We highly recommend watching the presentations in real time if at all possible, to be able to have your questions addressed by the speakers in real time; however, presentations will be available as on demand content to registrants to watch at any time through September 30. After that time, presentations will be removed, but abstracts will remain available.

What is the time zone for SIVB 2021?

The meeting is taking place in Eastern Daylight Time (UTC-4). When you log in for the first time, you will have the ability to include your time zone. This will modify the visible session times on the scientific program schedule to display in your time zone. That way you will know when events and sessions will occur. If there is a location where the times listed don’t automatically convert, the event will list EDT to notate that the time listed is Eastern Daylight Time. You can also use this time converter to help you know when things are taking place.

Don’t miss the Q&A and discussions after each presentation

How can I participate during the meeting?

All presentations (with the exception of the live video chat sessions for the Interactive Posters) will have both Q&A and discussion features available. Registrants will be able to post a question to a presenter during the date and time of their presentations, vote questions others posed to the top of the list, or use the discussion tab to start a conversation on the presentation. Just remember that all discussions should abide by the SIVB’s Meeting Code of Conduct. We hope having a scheduled date and time to ask the presenter questions will enhance the interactivity of this year’s program and allow for you to connect with your fellow attendees through the science being presented.

Additionally, we will have a variety of live chat room events including the interactive poster sessions, exhibitor chat rooms, and even some special social events on Saturday and Monday night where you will be able to move virtually from table to table to network and catch up with each other. You will also be able to message other attendees to network and make new connections with your fellow attendees!

We hope you are as excited as we are about participating in SIVB 2021: In Vitro OnLine. We can’t wait to see you online!
