Springer has published In Vitro Cellular & Developmental Biology –Animal and In Vitro Cellular & Developmental Biology – Plant with the SIVB since 2007. Since then, we have seen an overall trend of increasing impact factor for both journals, as well as increased submissions to the journals. The journals have improved on their peer review times, and have become more restrictive in the papers they select, in particular In Vitro – Animal. Noteworthy are special issues that the journals published, for example a special issue on Novel Human Embryonic Stem Cell Lines, In Vitro – Animal, in 2010 or the special issues on Biofuels (2009) and Biodiversity (2011).

Editorial Director Jacco Flipsen, PhD MBA, is the SIVB’s main contact person at Springer. Print issues still need to be produced even though the world of scientific publishing has become almost entirely electronic. We ensure that you, the SIVB members, have access to your society journal.
