The SIVB is a volunteer scientific society with elections to be held during the fall of 2013 for the 2014-2016 Officers, Board Members, Section and Committee Chairs.
Executive Board and Committee Officer Positions include: President Elect, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Public Policy Committee Chair, Publications Committee Chair, Awards Committee Chair, Constitution and Bylaws Committee Chair, Education Committee Chair, IVACS Section Member-at Large, and Plant Biotechnology Section Member-at-Large.
Section officer positions include: In Vitro Animal Cell Sciences (IVACS) Chair, IVACS Co-chair (Meeting), IVACS Co-chair (Membership), IVACS Secretary, Plant Biotechnology Chair, Plant Biotechnology Co-chair and Plant Biotechnology Secretary.
A final slate of candidates is developed by the Nominating Committee. Additional nominations for office may be made to the Secretary, by petition, over the signatures of at least 10 Regular Members in good standing. These petitions must be received by the Secretary on or before the next succeeding first day of October.
SIVB Strategic Plan: Comments Requested
The SIVB Long Range Planning Committee has prepared a Strategic Plan for the long-term success of the Society. This plan has been reviewed and approved by the Board of Directors; however, the Board would like your comments before the plan is presented for a vote.
All SIVB members who have provided their email address to the Business Office will receive a copy of this plan to review by email. It is requested that all members review the plan and provide any comments they have to the Business Office by October 15, 2013.
