As incoming Chair of the In Vitro Animal Cell Sciences Section (IVACS) I want to thank Dennis Laska for his outstanding service to the Society for In Vitro Biology (SIVB) and for the leadership he has provided for our section of the Society. I look forward to working with the IVACS section and with the Society for In Vitro Biology in this new capacity and I hope to see many of my fellow IVACS members in St. Louis at the annual SIVB meeting.

POSTDOCTORAL POSITION

POSTDOCTORAL FELLOW/RESEARCH ASSISTANT PROFESSOR POSITIONS IN CELLLULAR STRESS BIOLOGY

NIH funded postdoctoral fellow/research assistant professor positions are available immediately for scientists with a broad interest in the integrative biology of cellular stress response mechanisms. Our laboratory utilizes the genetic model organism C. elegans and a multidisciplinary approach that includes reverse and forward genetic analyses, genomics, quantitative cellular imaging, and molecular and cell biology to define the signaling pathways and molecular mechanisms that activate protective responses and that detect and repair protein damage induced by osmotic and oxidative stressors. Candidates should have or be close to obtaining a Ph.D. in physiology or a related discipline. Please send your curriculum vitae and the names and addresses of three references via email to:

Kevin Strange, Ph.D.
