Greetings, Fellow SIVB Members.
We are in the process of finalizing all aspects of our program for the 2010 In Vitro Biology Meeting being held in St. Louis, Missouri on June 6-11, 2010, in conjunction with the 12th International Association for Plant Biotechnology. The overarching theme for the SIVB meeting is: “In Vitro Biology: Impacting the Globe, Improving Lives”. We have chosen this theme because we feel strongly that our society members are participating in research efforts that have broad implications for both the medical sciences as well as food production strategies (agriculture as well as aquaculture). Plenary sessions and many concurrent symposia are co-sponsored by SIVB and IAPB and cover a wide range of basic and applied topics. SIVB-sponsored sessions include topics related to animal (vertebrate and invertebrate) cells and tissues, as well as joint animal-plant focused sessions. Additionally, SIVB has also organized a variety of sessions convened by students that will encourage networking between students and seasoned researchers. The bottom line is that we encourage you to attend…and bring a colleague! See you in St. Louis!
