News from the In Vitro Animal Cell Sciences Section

Professor Kim O’Connor recently received the Tulane Health Sciences Award for Leadership & Excellence in Intercampus Collaborative Research and was awarded as principal investigator a $ 496,381 grant from the National Science Foundation on adult bone marrow stem cells.

Associate Professor Michael J. Fay was awarded, as principal investigator, a $209,935 grant from the National Institutes of Health/National Cancer Institute entitled “Use of RNAi to investigate cullin-5 function in breast cancer.” Dr. Fay was also recently promoted to Director of Biomedical Sciences at Midwestern University (Downers Grove, IL).
