I am pleased to announce that the SIVB officer election results for the 2026-2028 term have been finalized. Our membership has selected outstanding leaders to serve as Board of Directors members, Committee Chairs, and Section Officers. On behalf of the entire Society, I extend my sincere appreciation to all candidates who participated.

The 2026 – 2028 elections are complete. Below are the results. All eligible members were sent an electronic ballot and received instructions on how to vote. All elected members will take office at the close of the SIVB Annual Meeting in June 2026 in Reno.

On June 8, 2025, at the In Vitro Biology Meeting in Norfolk, Virginia, the Society for In Vitro Biology (SIVB) presented its inaugural Presidential Honor of Distinction to Dr. Barbara B. Doonan. This prestigious new award, established by SIVB’s Presidential Officers (President, President-Elect, and Past President), recognizes individuals whose dedication and contributions to the Society extend far beyond traditional service roles.

The Society for In Vitro Biology (SIVB) has thrived for decades thanks to the extraordinary dedication, passion, and selfless commitment of its volunteers. Since its founding, SIVB has remained a vibrant scientific community advancing research in plant and animal cell biology, tissue culture, and biotechnology achievements made possible through the tireless efforts of members who generously contribute their time and expertise.

For the first time, the Society for In Vitro Biology (SIVB) is gearing up for its 2026 Annual Meeting at the Peppermill Resort and Spa in Reno, Nevada, from June 6 to 10, 2026, promising a dynamic blend of scientific innovation, professional development, and community engagement.

The Society for In Vitro Biology is pleased to announce that Dr. Nagesh Sardesai and Dr. Addy Alt-Holland will serve as the new Co-Editors for the In Vitro Report. Dr. Sardesai is a Principal Investigator at Corteva Agriscience, and Dr. Addy Alt-Holland is a tenured Professor and researcher at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine.
