Following the successful conclusion of the 2025 In Vitro Biology Meeting (#SIVB2025) in Norfolk, Virginia, I want to express my sincere gratitude to everyone who participated.

The Society for In Vitro Biology (SIVB) returned to Norfolk, VA where we actively engaged with science and each other during our in-person program.

The 2025 Planning Committee acknowledges the contributions and donations received from the following organizations and individuals for their support of the 2025 In Vitro Biology Meeting.

The highest honor given by the Society for In Vitro Biology is the Lifetime Achievement Award. This award is presented to scientists who are considered pioneers or highly influential researchers to the science and art of cell culture.

The SIVB Distinguished Scientist Award recognizes outstanding mid-career scientists who have made significant contributions to the field of in vitro biology and/or in the development of novel technologies that have advanced in vitro biology.

The following student awards were presented at the 2025 In Vitro Biology held at the Hilton Norfolk The Main in Reno, Nevada, from June 6 – 10, 2025.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, of Mr. Guido Caputo. Guido retired as a cell biologist from Great Lakes Forestry Centre, Canadian Forest Service, Natural Resources Canada (NRCan), Sault Ste, Marie, Canada, in 2013.

The 2025 In Vitro Biology Meeting in Norfolk, Virginia featured the Bob V. Conger Plant Biotechnology Student Oral Presentation Competition for Plant Biotechnology students.

The SIVB’s In Vitro Animal Cell Science Section (IVACS) held the Student Oral Presentation Competitions on Sunday, June 8, 2025.

The 2025 In Vitro Biology Meeting hosted an outstanding oral presentation competition for Plant Biotechnology Postdoctoral Associates, celebrating both groundbreaking research and exceptional presentation skills.

The Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair (Regeneron ISEF), the world’s largest international pre-college science competition, annually provides a forum for more than 1,500 high school students from over 40 countries to showcase their independent research.
