The 2024 World Congress on In Vitro Biology attracted the highest attendance SIVB has had over the last 24 years.

Dr Liza mirrors the cross-over of disciplines so commonly found in the SIVB. Her formal education is in human medicine and toxicology but she is currently at Bayer CropScience and is an advocate for innovation in agriculture and chemistry.

The highest honor given by the Society for In Vitro Biology is the Lifetime Achievement Award. This award is presented to scientists who are considered pioneers or highly influential researchers to the science and art of cell culture.

The SIVB Distinguished Scientist Award recognizes outstanding mid-career scientists who have made significant contributions to the field of in vitro biology and/or in the development of novel technologies that have advanced in vitro biology.

The Society for In Vitro Biology established the Fellow Award to recognize outstanding professionals who have made significant contributions to the field of in vitro biology and demonstrated service to the Society.

The SIVB is known for its standing as a leader in in vitro biology, the caliber and breadth of its Annual Meetings, speakers and scientific presentations, and the many opportunities for professional and personal growth of its members in all levels of their careers.

The following student awards were presented at the 2024 World Congress on In Vitro Biology held at the Hyatt Regency St. Louis at The Arch in St. Louis, Missouri, from June 8 – 12, 2024.

The 2024 In Vitro Biology Meeting featured an oral presentation competition for Plant Biotechnology Students. Presenters were evaluated on experimental design, data analysis, proper interpretation of the results, originality of the study, technical difficulty, and presentation skills.

The Society for In Vitro Biology (SIVB) student poster presentation competition was organized during the 2024 World Congress on In Vitro Biology at St. Louis, MO. This had been on a pause for the past few years.
